So, with this coat and bag combo, I present to you my attempt at being a classy broad. Around this time of year, getting dressed becomes so much more of a chore than normal and all I really want to do is leave the house still cosied up in my jammies. I think this Paisie coat's dressing gown-like attributes are actually the reason for my forming such an affinity to it... And with that confession alone, I blow my classy cover. It really is a beautiful coat though; Paisie London know their stuff when it comes to making a well-cut piece of clothing. Amy x P.s I've added even more to my blog sale tonight in order to fund my increasingly expensive chocolate habit
Double breasted jacket & grey roll neck - c/o Sheinside | Jumpsuit (worn as trousers) - Topshop | Boots - Bank | Bag - Primark
This is what I wore one of the days we were down in Glasgow - I was overly prepared for the cold, wearing not one, but two polo necks. It ended up being uncharacteristically mild and I was left wandering about feeling like I was wrapped in a duvet... needless to say, things only got warmer each time we went into a shop. I feel like none of this would have happened if the scouts didn't drill the 'be prepared' motto home so hard. Anyway, if you want to join my roasty toasty club you can find the roll neck here and the jacket here.
T'is the season to be jolly, and so here are the things that have been making me jolly this month. The Delsa studded boots are my absolute favourite and, as Allsole currently have 20% off spends of £125 or more* (check them out here if you haven't already, they're a treasure trove of beautiful boots and shoes), I'm feeling it'd almost be rude not to. I also treated myself to number four this morning whilst buying some bits and bobs for Christmas presents when I noticed it had some discount off it... I'm like my own personal Santa.
* It would help if I gave you the code wouldn't it... it's 'SAVEAS' if any of you are looking to grab a bargain.
Urgh tights, my nemesis. I don't know know what it is about them but they're little life-ruiners. I mean, outfit-ruiners. Still, they keep me warm and that's what I need right now. I've been keeping warm in this little wool number from Choies too, which comes with a handy removable collar - I know, if that's the case why didn't I remove it before I took these photos and give it a quick iron? Because I'm incredibly lazy is the short answer.
After a few days of groaning, my clothes rail finally buckled last week so I've taken it as a strong hint that I need to clear out some clothes. I've added some more bits to my blog sale and will be popping some more up throughout the week.
Every December I decide to treat myself to a red underwear set to bring some festive cheer into my underwear drawer, and every year I forget. Well, 2013 is finally the year. I got my first ever bra in Marks when I was a youngster and since then have popped in every so often to treat myself to a new set, but this one is hands down my favourite yet. I wore it on a day out Christmas shopping this weekend (and almost exploded with Christmas cheer in the process) and it was so comfortable and light that it felt like I was going sans-bra. What a day to be alive, it really was. It's delicate and feminine, but with an almost pin-up girl-esque edge and there's lots of little extra detailing on it to give it a bit of an edge; from the cut out panels on the back of the briefs to the open straps on the cup. You can see it worn here to get a better idea of what it looks like when it's on!
Who's that lurking suspiciously on street corners wearing a jacket as a cape? No, it's not a new leather-clad superhero, it's me! And what better way to juxtapose a leather-dominated outfit/costume than with a jumper that looks like a teddy bear. Yes, I treat myself to a lot of self-cuddles when I'm wearing it, it's just so cosy. If you like what you see (not me... the jumper and the boots) then you can enter Boohoo's #DRESSMAS competition to win a £500 spree simply by following these easy steps:

Me and Rob are away in Glasgow for a couple days, so I thought it would only be appropriate to base one of my scheduled posts around what I'll be wearing when we're down there. I'm absolutely crap at dressing for nights out, but when I saw the Topshop pink PVC skirt in store a while back I knew I'd found the answer to my dress-up woes... Until I tried it on that was. It was far too long, sat loosely as the waist and then was tight at the buttock-ios. All in all, a bit of a wrong 'un. Fast forward a couple of weeks and I'm now living the high life with this Missguided dupe that sells at half the price and fits twice as well, so I decided to take it down to Glasgow for a spin. Rob's not so keen on the idea as we have to walk at snail's pace when I'm wearing it, but I'll continue to argue that we can take in more of our surroundings when we're going at that speed. I'm not one to sacrifice my warmth for a night out (hello, Granny), so I'm wearing it with this black Glamorous jumper which - hopefully you can see in the photos - is lovely and fluffy as well as being toasty. And, um, my leather jacket. Who saw that one coming?
P.s I've put together a little Christmas wishlist with Give as You Live, check it out here if you so fancy.
