You know when you order something online and then spend every day watching your letterbox hoping that it'll pop through? That's how I was with this dress. I was one step away from harassing the postman - "Are you SURE it's definitely not in your bag??" - but I managed to refrain myself, mainly because I don't want a lawsuit on my hands. It finally arrived this weekend so I put it on straight away and oh my I'm in love. My only advice would be to size up, which is what I did and it fits perfectly. Oh, and don't eat chocolate while you're wearing it... the dress is already in the wash, yes. Links of London were kind enough to send me one of their friendship bracelets to try out as well and they're just beautiful, so dainty too. I went for a pastel-y one but they've got lots of different patterns in stock, including some najavo ones that would look amazing for summer. My Mum actually bought one of their friendship bracelets a wee while back so I guess that this means she pretty much has to be my friend now whether she wants to or not. Eh, Mum?..

Hello...?

I also picked up these boots in the Topshop sale a few weeks ago after dilly-dallying for a couple of days and am so glad I did in the end. They're so comfy that my feet practically wept with happiness when I put them on. No blisters this week, guys, we're ok.

Getting on a bit

I am forever cold. I'm one of those annoying people who have the heating on in summer and permanently has hands that, after they touch you, will leave you feeling like someone's just slapped you with a block of ice. For this reason I'm always looking for the perfect summer cover-up, something that's still warm but doesn't instantly out me as a human snowman, and I finally found exactly what I was looking for over at MeeMee. Sayonara goosebumps! I'm off to a festival in August so I've already pegged this as an essential. Unless it's raining... then my good old friend parka'll be getting an outing.

We had a proper sunny day today (huzzah!) so me and my little bruv had a day out. There's only one shop in our village and it just got a Mr. Whippy machine - big news - so we stocked up on ice cream and went for a wander, finally finishing up in the park playing on the roundabout. Big. Mistake. I honestly thought I was going to chunder my ice cream everywhere. You know that episode of Modern Family where Phil realises he's too old for the theme park? That was me. And what a sad realisation it was, first I finish uni and now this. I need to get myself some jelly shoes so I can revert back to being a child pronto.

Baby love

Babydoll dress - c/o Sheinside ***// Sheer black top - Motel (20% off with code thelittemagpie_1) // Bag - La Moda

I am officially no longer a uni student, hehhh. I handed in my last ever essay today so am celebrating with my flatmate in the only way I know how - with a Dominos. My essay topic had a lot to do with fate and my hand-in date just so happened to fall on Two for Tuesdays, you do the maths. I'm pretty sure this dress will come in handy tomorrow as it's got just the right amount of floatiness to it to accommodate a Dominos belly. However, I'm off on holiday in two weeks so I'm going to need to think of a better plan to disguise my belly then. Or just, y'know, exercise...

Nahhhhhh.

If I'm comfy I'm happy

lashesoflondontrousers5 lashesoflondontrousers lashesoflondontrousers3 glamoroussheerjumper3 Sheer jumper - c/o Glamorous // Floral print trousers - Lashes of London // Heels - Glamorous // Bracelet - Story by Kranz & Ziegler

Oh man this was a comfy outfit, I think this is why I look so happy in all of the photos. I won these trousers last week in a giveaway and have been pretty much living in them ever since. I don't actually have a lot of summer-appropriate bottoms so these were perfect for a wee walk in the sun with Rob, even if he's not a fan (they're 'a bit too urban' for him, haw haw). The Lashes of London website is too good at the moment, so make sure and give it a wee browse if you haven't already - I've decided this kimono needs to make its way into my summer wardrobe pronto. Anyway, I digress . . . I popped this Glamorous jumper on with the trousers because I've finally learned my lesson that, just because it looks really sunny outside, doesn't actually mean it's going to be warm. I absolutely love the jumper - I've got it rolled up here (ker-azee, I know) but most of the time I've had it on it's been rolled down and under my dungarees. Yes, I'm still dressing like a ten year old.

I'm in the middle of my (last ever!) uni essay at the moment and have found a million and one ways to procrastinate today but I think it's finally time to face the music. How else am I going to justify a Made in Chelsea break?

Hey skort

Skort - c/o Sheinside (only £15!) // Leather jacket - Topshop (similar here) // Crop top - c/o Glamorous // Bracelet (worn as necklace) - Story by Kranz & Ziegler

Yes, that is indeed a skort. If my eight year old self knew she'd one day get to wear a skort again she'd be in her element. When I first saw them floating about again I wasn't convinced, but as soon as I put this badboy on I remembered why I loved them so much - I am the clumsiest person ever, and trip over my own feet at least four times a day... if I do it in a skirt the poor person behind me gets a nice view of my rear, if I do it in a skort, WHO CARES. Oh the freedom. I popped it on with this crop top from Glamorous to make, what Rob called, a 'Persil advert outfit'. Well, look Ma, no stains! That's got to be a first.

Also, thank you so much for all your lovely comments on my last post! I'm still feeling a bit delicate after my dissertation so they put a big smile on my downtrodden face. Now, I'm off to stuff my face with fajitas and catch up on Fringe with Rob. Poifect.

Gorgeous Couture

Dress - c/o Gorgeous Couture // Accessories - c/o Rock n Rose

So this is just what I wore down to the shops to get some milk yesterday. Haw haw haww. When Gorgeous Couture asked me if I'd like to take part in their next bloggers feature I got all giddy and said why yes, yes of course. The dress arrived all wrapped up in tissue paper in a beautiful box, and what was inside didn't disappoint. If you have an upcoming ball, prom or event then I'd definitely give the website a wee try as they've got a whole variety of different dresses in different colours and styles. This particular dress that I'm wearing also comes in turquoise, white and black (as styled by the gorgey-porgey Olivia here).

I couldn't help but wear it with this floral crown from Rock n' Rose. I've already mentally paired this crown with a million holiday and festival outfits but I thought it'd be nice to dress it up for a bit of a change. I've seen a lot of people worrying about finding floral crowns in different sizes due to having large/small heads (me and my peahead sadly fall into the latter category) but the Rock n Rose crowns are tied with a ribbon at the back so they're completely adjustable in size - hurrah for the oddly-sized head army!

Hangin

sheinsidepolkadotblouse4 sheinsidepolkadotblouse2 kranzandzieglerbracelet
Jacket & skirt - H&M // Polka dot blouse - c/o Sheinside // Bracelet - Story by Kranz & Ziegler

I am currently in self-pity town and I don't think I'll be leaving any time soon. I went out on Saturday to celebrate handing in my dissertation and ended up spending the whole of yesterday in the foetal position. Tragically the most productive thing I managed all day was a sit-down shower. I've woken up today and it's still lingering, no clearer sign has ever existed that I'm getting on a bit than a two-day hangover.

Anyway, enough of the tragedy. I found this little cream biker jacket in H&M when I was over in Copenhagen for only £7. Now, I didn't intend to go into a shop that we already have over here, I went in to ask for directions and the sale section just sucked me in by some unknown magnetic force. I haven't actually worn it that much yet but when this polka dot blouse turned up from Sheinside I thought they'd make a nice pair. The bracelet also came back from Copenhagen with me, it was a gift from the lovely team at Kranz and Ziegler. I was actually looking at the charms on their website the other day and I think it might be time to add to my bracelet, there's some really lovely summery ones on there just now.

Ok, I'm off to retire under my duvet.
